The world?s largest real estate event "MIPIM? in Cannes with a prominent presentation from Leipzig
Experts from the real estate sector as well as the Leipzig/Halle Airport and Porsche shall portray the Leipzig region


Leipzig, March 15, 2006 (Marketing Leipzig GmbH). From 14th to 17th March 2006, the Leipzig region will be exhibiting at the world’s largest and most important real estate event „MIPIM“ (Meet, Interact, Put into perspective, Imagine, Make). At the „Palais des Festivals“ in Cannes, France, five renowned companies shall divert the attention of the 20000 visiting professionals to Leipzig.

Two companies in the real estate business, the Leipziger Wohnungs und Baugesellschaft (LWB – Leipzig Housing and Property Association) and GRK-Holding, will be exhibiting. Construction experts from the Günter Papenburg company shall complete this segment. The Leipzig/Halle Airport and the Porsche corporation shall also be exhibiting as good examples for companies which have successfully established themselves in the region. After the exceptionally positive response in recent years to its crowd pleaser, the automobile manufacturer Porsche shall again have the Carrera GT on display. The company Marketing Leipzig is responsible for organizing the group appearance under the title „Leipzig Stand powered by Porsche“. The company will focus on the soft locational factors of the region with the image campaign „Leipziger Freiheit“ (The Freedom of Leipzig). Leipzig is the only city from Eastern Germany which is represented at the „MIPIM“. The exhibition stand is not only considerably larger than in the two preceding years, but is also in a very exposed location along one of the main walkways.

„The ‘MIPIM’ is the annual event for real estate professionals from all over the world and has 2050 companies from 74 countries on exhibit and more than 4600 investors and end users under one roof. This will already be the third year in which we will draw attention to Leipzig with our ‘display window’. Together we will highlight the region and its economic strengths and quality-of-life advantages for the visitors; in doing so we will attract current sector trends as well as new connections for partnerships and networking to Leipzig“, says Lutz Thielemann, managing director of Marketing Leipzig.

The Leipzig exhibition stand forms the center of many effective public relation activities. Here, visitors can talk with experts from the participating companies as well as with representatives from the City of Leipzig’s office for the promotion of economic development. For instance, the Leipzig/Halle Airport will be offering concrete marketing deals in the context of DHL’s presence; Porsche will also be promoting attractive offers for company events. In addition to presenting information materials and having give-aways, Marketing Leipzig will provide exposition guests with culinary specialties from Leipzig, with a video presentation showing impressions of Leipzig and with audio-visual business cards from the participating partners.
